Here’s an exclusive clip from the season finale of 'Survivor’s Remorse'

In “The Age of Umbrage,” Cam (Jessie T. Usher) was called out by the media for using the wrong terminology for kids with Frozen-Nostril-Syndrome, a fictional disease. It was a commentary on political correctness and the difference between calling out and putting forth action when it comes to social injustice and charity work. In “The Photoshoot,” Missy (Teyonah Parris) spoke her truth about colorism and the representation of dark-skinned black women in the mainstream. In last week’s episode, Cassie (Tichina Arnold) revealed the truth about M-Chuck’s father, that she didn’t know who he was because she was gang-raped at a party when she was 15. When Cam asks her why she didn’t report the terrible incident, she tells him the cold hard truth: When you’re a poor black women, “what you do and what gets done to you don’t matter to nobody. Fuck, it can’t even matter to me or else I would fall apart.”

Sunday’s upcoming season finale allows Survivor’s Remorse to do what it does best: find moments of humor in spaces of unfamiliarity. This time, with Cassie and her boyfriend Chen (Robert Wu). Their romantic relationship has to be one of the most unorthodox on television. He’s Chinese, she’s black. He’s a billionaire entrepreneur from Shanghai, she’s a mother of two from the Boston projects. He’s very into a robot sex doll that he made to look like Cassie…she is not. But they found love anyway. Now, Cassie is off to meet Chen’s parents in China and, of course, Survivor’s Remorse took this opportunity to create a hilarious Meet the Parents-like dinner scene.
