New book claims to go inside David Cameron's alleged college debauchery with clubs, drugs and pigs
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom went to some pretty bizarre parties in college, if a forthcoming, unauthorized biography written by a former friend is to be believed.
The book, Call Me Dave, co-written by billionaire Lord Michael Ashcroft and journalist Isabel Oakeshott, includes allegations that David Cameron smoked pot while listening to Supertramp, joined a drinking club famous for trashing rooms, and took part in a particularly seedy initiation ritual to join an exclusive dining club. The Daily Mail published excerpts of the book this morning; Ashcroft and Oakeshott also wrote in a separate piece for the newspaper:
A distinguished Oxford contemporary claims Cameron once took part in an outrageous initiation ceremony at a Piers Gaveston event, involving a dead pig. His extraordinary suggestion is that the future PM inserted a private part of his anatomy into the animal’s mouth.
The man who made the swine-related allegation claims to have been a student at Oxford University at the same time as Cameron, and went on to also become a member of parliament, according to the book.
