Supergirl's too busy saving the world to care what Jeb Bush thinks about her looks

Judging by Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush’s previous comments about Melissa Benoist’s looks, chances are that he’ll be tuning in to the premiere of her new show Supergirl airing tonight on CBS. Bush, you’ll remember, is a fan of the hero—not for any one of her admirable character traits—but because, you know, she’s hot.

When asked about Bush’s comments in a recent interview, Benoist chuckled and admitted that while she’d heard about them, she didn’t really have much to say in response.

“You know, I don’t know what to think about it,” Benoist said, saying that she’s “glad he’s excited to watch the show.”
