Trump the Twitter Man–Child Is Back

Donald Trump is losing his edge. He’s becoming too predictable. Put him in a jam, and it’s only a matter of time before he has an outburst like a 2–year–old.

Sunday was another one of those meltdown days, with toddler Donald needing to spend some QT in presidential time–out. His supporters likely find these types of antics funny—the ones who haven’t burned their MAGA hats yet, that is—sort of like how they probably laugh at each other while lighting their farts on fire.

Trump’s tweets and retweets on Sunday were so ridiculously stupid that it’s almost not even worth mentioning them. But then again, he is the president of the United States. And one of them did mention the leader of a hostile nation threatening nuclear annihilation.

Let’s start with that one. “I spoke with President Moon of South Korea last night,” Trump began. So far, so good. “Asked him how Rocket Man is doing. Long gas lines forming in North Korea. Too bad!”

Ugh. Mr. President, a gentle reminder: North Korea just tested a nuclear device that was 10 times more powerful than the one dropped on Hiroshima. And their ICBMs can likely reach the continental United States. Grow up.

I’m not really sure what the following stupid graphic he retweeted is supposed to be. I guess it implies that Trump is walking on water like Jesus and pulling Oreo cookies back to the U.S., whereas the Oreo cookies are jobs? There’s some coal there, too, although I’m not really sure where that’s coming from. Regardless, Trump isn’t really bringing meaningful jobs back to the U.S. from anywhere, as this meme implies.

Then there’s the typical presidential child retweet of a big boy train with a big, stupid hat:

And the Sunday coup de grâce against Hillary Clinton in the form of a retweet from a misogynist, homophobic, racist, and anti-Semitic Twitter user:

That one is a particular gem, with the lazy, golfing president appearing to knock Clinton over with a strategically placed golf ball and the hashtag #CrookedHillary. (Again, projecting.)

As BuzzFeed points out, the person behind that account, @fuctupmind, loves to denigrate other people, particularly Hillary Clinton, Jewish people, Black Lives Matter advocates, and members of the LGBTQ community, among others. Note: Some of @fuctupmind’s tweets were deleted after BuzzFeed called them out.

But Jemele Hill is the problem. Riiiiight.
