Kanye West 'multiracial' casting call manages to anger pretty much everyone

Kanye West posted a call sheet on his Twitter feed for Sunday for his upcoming Yeezy Season 4 event that asked for “multiracial women only—no makeup, come as you are.”

With wording like that, he managed to anger pretty much everyone. Again. Great job, Kanye!

Many black respondents were angry that the term “multiracial” could refer to lighter-skinned women, similar to his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose or his wife, Kim Kardashian, who is of Armenian descent.

And then many white respondents pulled out the “reverse racism” canard, saying he was excluding white people.

He had his defenders, though, who said that he is trying to include everyone, especially since it’s unlikely West would be asking respondents to show up with proof of their ethnicity.

Well, everyone except women who believe they shouldn’t leave their house without makeup. These women can stay home!
