Patty Jenkins Is Reportedly Set to Become the Highest-Paid Female Director of All Time
Patty Jenkins, the director of the summer smash Wonder Woman, has reportedly closed a deal to direct the movie’s sequel, according to Variety.
What’s more, the magazine reports that Jenkins will become the highest paid female director of all time, taking home a salary in the $8 million dollar range.
However, that number is still significantly less than some male directors in Hollywood—like Christopher Nolan and M. Knight Shyamalan—who have made at least $20 million on movies in the past, according to Vanity Fair.
Wonder Woman was one of the biggest movies of the summer, grossing over $400 million and becoming the second-highest grossing film of the year.
Gal Gadot has also agreed to return to her role in the sequel, which is set to be released on December 13, 2019.
