Subway drops Jared Fogle after he reportedly plans to plead guilty to child porn charges

Jared Fogle, a ubiquitous presence in Subway commercials in the 2000s, will reportedly plead guilty to possession of child porn charges on Wednesday. Fox’s Indianapolis station says he’s agreed to a plea deal, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office will hold a press conference tomorrow to discuss further details.

On Twitter, Subway announced the formal end to their relationship.

Initial news of Fogle’s potential involvement in child pornography broke last month when federal authorities raided his home in Zionsville, Indiana. After the raid Subway announced on Twitter that their relationship with Fogle would be “suspended” while the investigation continued.

The head of Fogle’s charity The Jared Foundation, Russell Taylor, was arrested in May after federal authorities accused him of producing and possessing child pornography.
