The creator of 'Ren and Stimpy' made a couch gag for 'The Simpsons' Halloween episode

The Simpsons is about to air its annual “Treehouse of Horror” Halloween episode on Sunday, and the crew has enlisted a special guest animator to create the couch gag: John Kricfalusi, the creator of nightmare-inducing Nickelodeon cartoon Ren and Stimpy.

As you might imagine, it is very…Ren and Stimpy-ish.

This isn’t Kricfalusi’s first Simpsons couch gag: He also did the honors for the 2011 episode “Bart Stops to Smell the Roosevelts.” This year’s “Treehouse of Horror” airs Sunday at 8 p.m. on Fox. Sideshow Bob allegedly kills Bart, so that’s something.
