This GOP bigwig just said Ted Cruz was a 'miserable son of a bitch'
Has anyone ever enjoyed retirement more than John Boehner?
After stepping down as Speaker of the House in late 2015, the former GOP congressman from Ohio has spent his time tweeting pics of his grandson, making fiscally conservative dad-jokes about mowing the lawn, and generally seeming to relish his time away from the political minefield that is the Speaker’s office.

Which isn’t to say he won’t still throw a verbal grenade or two from the sidelines.
Speaking this week at Stanford University, the onetime GOP heavyweight had some choice words to describe Texas senator Ted Cruz: “Lucifer in the flesh.”
According to the Stanford Daily, Boehner’s made the remarks during a talk hosted by the Stanford Speakers Bureau, and the group Stanford in Government.
“I have Democrat friends and Republican friends,” the former Speaker reportedly told the crowd. “I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”
Boehner’s burns come just as Cruz announced former Hewlett-Packard CEO and onetime presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina as his running mate, in an attempt to rally his supporters ahead of next week’s Indiana primary elections. There, Cruz hopes to deny GOP frontrunner Donald Trump that state’s delegates, forcing a floor fight for the Republican presidential nomination at the party’s convention in Ohio later this summer.
Boehner’s “Lucifer” jab has already gained traction online, with Lucifer2016.com now redirecting to the official Cruz/Fiorina website.
The former Speaker seemed more enthusiastic about Trump, describing him as a longtime golfing partner and “texting buddy.”
As for his own legacy, Boehner was blunt, reportedly telling the crowd, “I think my proudest accomplishment is walking out of there the same jackass I was 25 years before.”
