This Is What It Looks Like When You Are Against Women and Children

Friday marked the 45th annual March for Life, a day when hundreds of teenagers in church youth groups across the country are bussed into Washington, D.C., to hold signs that read “I Am the Pro-Life Generation” for several hours and then throw those signs in the garbage before being bussed home the next morning.

Friday also marked the day that Republicans staged a hostage situation, turning health insurance for 9 million children and temporary protection from deportation for nearly 700,000 younger immigrants into grotesque leverage to keep the government funded.

This is what it looks like when you want the law to compel women to carry all pregnancies to term while simultaneously undermining the health and safety of young people after they are born:
