Carl’s Jr. butt-slapping bikini burger ad shows how much fun a border wall can really be

In a perfect twinning of Donald Trump’s two passions in life — bikini beauties and border walls — fast food joint Carl’s Jr. has come out with a new ad that will no doubt inject a bit of thoughtfulness and sophistication into the immigration debate.

The commercial, released last Friday to promote a new hamburger and binational sexism, claims “When Tex meets Mex, it’s a win-win.” The proof is in the ad: handsome neighbors bonding over burgers, bouncing bikini babes, and an erotically invigorating match of border wall volleyball.

The ad is clearly the most important thing to happen to cross-cultural relations since Taco Bell’s Spanish-speaking chihuahua taught us how to say “Yo quiero Taco Bell.” Yet some fuddy-duddies are trying to create controversy by piling up complaints on social media.

Some argue Carl’s Jr. is trivializing the immigration debate and ridiculing bicultural ties during Hispanic Heritage Month.

But does it really trivialize the border issue more than Donald Trump?

Others are just shaking their heads in mild dismay at the latest brainchild of a fast food chain known for hiring the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian to oversexualize everything on their menu.

“Carl’s Jr. Bravely Enters the Immigration Debate with Boobs, Butts: The most important issue of our time, explained the only way a forward-thinking fast food chain could,” reads a headline by Esquire magazine.

But the actors starring in the ad are defending both the chain’s take on the border and their butt slapping sequences.

“I don’t think it goes too far,” model Kara Del Toro who stars in the commercial told Fox News. “I think it’s really sexy, and I think it’s playing up on what’s going on politically right now with immigration. I think it was a bold move for Carl’s Jr. I love it, and they did the butt-slapping scene in slow motion. So, it was pretty hot.”
