Carly Fiorina refuses to say she was wrong about Planned Parenthood

Just about every fact-checker in the land has said that Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina was not telling the truth when she claimed that a video shows Planned Parenthood employees talking about harvesting the organs of a live, aborted fetus. That hasn’t stopped Fiorina from insisting that such a scene exists.

On Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” Fiorina refused to back down one more time.

“Are you willing now to concede that you exaggerated that scene?” host Chuck Todd asked.

“No!” Fiorina shot back. “Not at all. That scene does exist.” Todd said that even the people who made the video have conceded that no such footage exists; rather, someone claims to have witnessed the scene while stock footage plays. Fiorina still refused to say that she had gone too far.

The issue has dogged Fiorina ever since she made the claim during the most recent Republican debate. On Saturday, Planned Parenthood protesters threw condoms at her at an event in Iowa.
