Sam Nunberg Wasted Everyone's Time
Ex-Trump aide Sam Nunberg spent this fine Monday afternoon and evening going on television and telling everyone that he would not comply with a subpoena to testify before a grand jury about Russian interference in the 2016 election.
In multiple appearances on MSNBC and CNN, he said several times that he was willing to go to jail, called Roger Stone his dad, said his own dad was disappointed in him, said he wasn’t complying with the subpoena because he didn’t want to go through the hassle of looking through his own emails, criticized President Donald Trump, said he’d like to meet Corey Lewandowski in a dark alley, opined that Sarah Huckabee Sanders should “shut her fat mouth,” and, in the opinion of CNN anchor Erin Burnett, was being a big old closetalker with alcohol on his breath.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Sam Nunberg said he was angry over Mueller’s request to have him appear in front of a grand jury and turn over thousands of emails and other communications with other ex-officials, among them his mentor Roger Stone. But he predicted that, in the end, he’d find a way to comply.
“I’m going to end up cooperating with them,” he said.
Oh, OK. Thanks, Sam.
