This survey about girls and computer science is so depressing
Gallup and Google recently conducted a survey about teenage girls’ confidence in the field of computer science, and surprise! The results are super sexist and depressing.
Only 46% of female students in 7th through 12th grade feel “very confident” they could learn computer science if they wanted to, whereas 62% of male students said the same about themselves. The survey also found that female students are less likely to see themselves learning computer science in the future or someday having a job that requires some familiarity in the subject.
