Carly Fiorina’s 2010 Senate campaign website looks like it was made on an HP

During last week’s Republican debate, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina gained a lot of fans for going toe-to-toe with Donald Trump and playing it real fast and loose with the truth. Regardless of how you feel about Fiorina, it’s clear that she’s going to be a part of the Republican nomination process, especially if she keeps finding traction with the GOP’s younger voters.

Fiorina made her political splash in 2010, when she unsuccessfully ran for a U.S. Senate seat in California against incumbent Barbara Boxer, perhaps best remembered for the low budget and highly bizarre “Demon Sheep” attack ad her campaign unspooled:

That failed campaign has long been acknowledged as Fiorina’s own cautionary tale haunting her current presidential bid—literally: the website for her botched Senate run is still live. And compared to her slick Presidential campaign website it is very, very yikes.

The site is mostly still functioning, too. Outside of the “Store” and “Donate” links at the top of the page, and some videos on the About page, the site offers a whole host of things to do to help Carly Fiorina become a U.S. Senator from California five years ago.

Who wouldn’t want to put a bumper sticker on their car or recruit five of their online friends?

At the bottom of the Volunteer page is an email for Evie Coss, the statewide volunteer coordinator for Fiorina.

An email sent to the address ([email protected]) appears to have gone through, so if you are interested in volunteering for Carly Fiorina’s Senate campaign from five years ago, you maybe still can.

And if hosting a party for Carly is something you might be interested in, maybe examine some quick takes on where Fiorina stands on the issues before making your decision.

There’s a very comprehensive blog on the website but when you actually look at it, it’s just clips from other news sources with the occasional press release. For some reason, the last post though really speaks to me. What can I say, I love gazebos and gardens.

Gazebo Gardens is very much still in business, so it’s nice that Barbara Boxer did not personally ruin Scott Miller. A call to Gazebo Gardens confirmed that Miller still owns the place and the beer garden opens at 5, Thursday through Saturday.

Alas, Fiorina lost her Senate bid by about 10 points, and it didn’t help that she was caught with a hot mic dissing Boxer (“failed Senator dot com…What is that hair? So yesterday.”)and former eBay exec (and current HP CEO) Meg Whitman, who was running for governor of California at the time.
