A Vicious Power Struggle Between the White House's Top Ghouls Is Reportedly Breaking Out 

It was revealed late Tuesday afternoon that John Kelly had downgraded Jared Kushner’s security clearance, adding to a very bad day overall for one Jared Kushner. Now, apparently, some of the Trump family is rallying around Kushner against Kelly. It’s a war where you hope everyone loses!

According to Axios, family defender Donald Trump Jr. is very angry at how Kelly treated his brother-in-law. And an (of course) anonymous White House official told the site that “Javanka and Kelly are locked in a death match. Two enter. Only one survives.” (I would just like to point out to this cowardly anonymous official that this would be three people entering the death match.)

This high level power struggle is also very embarrassing because everyone involved is wrong and none of them should have their positions at the White House in the first place. Jared and Ivanka are only there because they are the president’s children. Kushner should never have had security clearance because he has literally no qualifications for his job. Plus, he’s entangled in countless overseas business arrangements which the Washington Post reported that foreign officials are trying to influence him over. More anonymous White House officials told the Post that they were afraid Kushner is “naive and being tricked.”

John Kelly is also trying to cover his own tracks. He’s revoking Jared’s security clearance as part of a larger overhaul that was only initiated because of the intense scrutiny Kelly is dealing with after it was reported that the White House covered up for accused domestic abuser Rob Porter.

Hopefully these ghouls just tear each other up and none of them come out on top. But I’m not holding my breath.
