our_copy: Health and aid workers are having trouble reaching regime-controlled parts of Syria and in some cases those in need are paying with their lives as they try to reach food in rebel areas. Where United Nations workers have been allowed to bring supplies to women and children in other conflicts, that does not appear to be the case in Syria. In fact, it seems snipers are actually targeting women and children, sometimes just for sport. With no end in sight, Syrians are fleeing to neighboring countries in a move that could have dire long-term economic and political consequences.
