Fatal shooting erupts at Tennessee State University over a dice game
A shooting that erupted over a dice game left one person dead and three others injured at Tennessee State University late Thursday night, ABC News reports.
The identity of the victim, a 19-year-old man who The Tennessean says was not a student at the Nashville school, is being withheld until police can contact his next of kin.

The three 18-year-old women injured by the unknown gunman were all students, and two of them were hospitalized. One woman was treated and released, The Guardian reports, and the other remains in “stable condition.”
“We do not believe this was an incidence of a random shooter on campus,” Metro Nashville Police Department Don Aaron told The Tennessean. “This was an isolated incident resulting from a dispute over a dice game. The Nashville Police Department believes this campus is safe.”
This is the second bout of gun violence to affect TSU in recent weeks. Three people were wounded by gunfire at an off-campus party across the street from the school on Oct. 14.
