Here's RJ Mitte — Breaking Bad’s Walt Jr. — making his fashion runway debut

Latest

Yesterday afternoon, RJ Mitte strutted fiercely down the runway of Vivienne Westwood’s Milan fashion show in his first ever fashion show.

The actor — who starred in Breaking Bad as Walt Jr., son of meth kingpin Walter White — ditched his onscreen baggy schoolboy look for paint-tattered pants paired with a snug gray V-neck and a retro leather jacket. Would Flynn wear this?

And it only got better.

Mitte went on to turn heads with a very provocative ensemble. Around his neck, the actor sported a breastplate — a bag emblazoned with a black and white closeup of a woman’s breasts. According to Stylite, the design is a twist on the Free The Nipple battle; Westwood’s making a comment on censorship of the female form.

Mitte, like his Breaking Bad character, has a mild case of cerebral palsy. Also like his character, he does not let his disability get in the way of doing whatever the hell he wants. Since the AMC drama’s finale in 2013, Mitte has boasted active involvement in various endeavors. The actor is currently the celebrity ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and has been outspoken on his condition, as well as his determination to change Hollywood’s perception on disabilities.

In addition to disability activism, Mitte has been involved with campaigns against bullying. Now he is largely focusing on modeling — he’s with Elite Models in London — and this stint in Westwood’s show is not his first foray into fashion. He was on the cover of Dark Beauty magazine in 2013 and appeared in a Gap ad campaign last year.

It’s shaping up to be an undeniably successful post-Breaking Bad career. From opening and closing for Westwood to sitting front row at Giorgio Armani’s summer show, it’s safe to say Mitte has a real modeling career under his belt (or should we say, on his chest?)
