An anonymous source also told the tabloid that the four remaining members of The Band with No Zayn will not tour to support their upcoming fifth studio album. If true, that would make their On The Road Again Tour stop in Sheffield on Oct. 31 their final performance as a group—at least for now.
By the looks of Twitter, the Directioners aren’t exactly buying The Sun‘s reporting.
But to be fair, the “Drag Me Down” singers have hinted at a hiatus—if not a full-on breakup—after album number five for a while. X Factor judge and Syco Entertainment owner Simon Cowell has suggested as much many times in the past (One Direction are signed to a Syco subsidiary). Liam even hinted at a break earlier this month.
A spokesman for the group told The Telegraph that they “don’t comment on speculation.” Reps also declined to comment when contacted by The Mirror.
