Rebel Wilson: 'I may eat a lot, but I am very healthy'
If you’re looking for Rebel Wilson, the hilarious Australian actress best known for Pitch Perfect and Bridemaids, you can find her smoldering on the May cover of Elle UK.
The full-figured star, who once said that “bigger girls do better in comedy,” told editor-in-chief Lorraine Candy that she’s developed an interest in fashion now that she’s a visible role model for young women.
“I saw a lot of girls were beginning to notice what I wear and I feel a kind of responsibility, because there aren’t any women in Hollywood my size and age,” she says.
Poised to reprise her role as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect 2 (in theaters May 15), Wilson considers fitness a necessity for surviving in Hollywood, but not for the superficial reasons you might think.
“You need to be physically strong for this job. I like to have the stamina to work 16 hours a day,” she explains. “I may eat a lot, but I am very healthy.”
Hear that, bodyshamers?
