Taraji P. Henson is launching a makeup line with MAC
Taraji P. Henson is living her best life.
She stars as Cookie on Fox’s hit drama Empire. She’s gearing up to release what will definitely be one of 2017’s most important films, Hidden Figures, about the role black women played in getting the first astronaut to orbit the earth. And she’s turning 46 next month but doesn’t look a day over 30. It’s no surprise that MAC’s next collaboration is with the Golden Globe-winning actress.

Henson is known for her flawless skin and coveted minimalism, with a no-makeup makeup beat face: dewy foundation, shimmering eyeshadow, enviable full lashes, and a matte nude or red lip. Like here, here, here and here. Next month, we can all attempt to get the Henson glow with her namesake MAC collection, which will include her “quintessential nude lip” in a matte deep tone beige lipstick called Strip Me Down. You’ll instantly go from boo-boo kitty to Cookie Lyons, all you need is a fur jacket for the fall.
As for MAC’s next celebrity collaboration, here’s a free idea: an exclusive line of highlighters by Jennifer Lopez or A Black Women Who Don’t Age collection for next year, featuring Angela Bassett, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Nia Long, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gabrielle Union, and Sanaa Lathan.
