The new Oreo flavor is here and it's full of surprises

From super-thin cookies to red velvet treats, it seems like Oreos always have something new up their (plastic) sleeves. This morning, we visited the Oreo Wonder Vault in Manhattan to discover their latest creation.

Here’s how the Wonder Vault works: Simply pull that red plastic level and a small box will make its way down a conveyor belt towards you.

What’s inside? Filled Cupcake Oreos, that’s what.

The Filled Cupcake Oreo consists of the original sandwich cookies and a chocolatey filling surrounding a dollop of vanilla cream.

To the extent that a cookie can taste like a cupcake, these are really, really good.

This limited-edition flavor will hit on shelves February 8, but if you’re in New York City today, visit the Oreo Wonder Vault at 245 West 18th Street to try the cookie for yourself until 6:30 p.m. (while supplies last).
