The NRA is getting major criticism for this controversial image
State Sen. Roxanne Persaud and Assemblywoman Jo Anne Simon are New York-based politicians who plan to introduce legislation this month that would limit the number of bullets a person can buy in a 90-day period.
The NRA isn’t happy about that legislation, so it published an editorial criticizing the two women that included Polaroids of the the two next to bullets. Evocative!
Metro took a screenshot of the NRA America’s 1st Freedom Twitter account sharing the editorial with the image attached, even though the gun manufacturers lobbying group’s magazine has not removed the tweet, and likely won’t.
Mark Chestnut, editor of America’s 1st Freedom, is aghast that Persaud and Simon want to “make it nearly impossible for anyone to buy ammunition” in New York. He then immediately goes on to explain how that is not at all what the legislation does:
