These are the 15 largest U.S. cities with the most foreign languages spoken

There are now at least 15 large metro areas where more than 125 different languages are spoken, according to new Census data.

Not surprisingly, New York is tops, with 192 different languages spoken; 38% of the metro area population age five and older speaks a language other than English at home.

They are closely followed by Los Angeles, at 185 different languages. There, 54% of the metro area population age five and older speaks a language other than English at home, the highest percentage among large metros in the nation.
