Uh oh! There's been a SpaghettiOs recall

The Campbell Soup Company has voluntarily recalled 355,000 cans of SpaghettiOs over a possible choking hazard. According to the FDA, the 14.2 ounce containers could be contaminated by red pieces of plastic that come from the can’s lining.

One SpaghettiOs eater said she found “these big red pieces of plastic” in four containers she purchased, so they might be hard to miss.

The FDA says that “the affected 14.2 ounce SpaghettiOs Original product has a date of February 22, 2017 which is stamped on the base of the can, and a UPC code of 51000 22432 printed under the bar code.” If you have one of these cans, you should be able to get a store refund. You should not consume the food (and maybe plastic) in the can.

Campbell’s offered a statement on its SpaghettiOs Facebook page yesterday, apologizing for the inconvenience and inviting customers to reach out with any questions.
