Uh oh! Trump's big, beautiful new hotel in D.C. was tagged with 'Black Lives Matter'

In a fitting punctuation to Donald Trump’s truly terrible week as a presidential candidate and human on this Earth, his giant hotel in Washington, D.C. was vandalized this weekend.

A man was recorded spray painting the words, “Black Lives Matter” and “No Justice No Peace” outside of a side entrance of the hotel. Video of the unidentified man quickly spread on social media. People in the video can be heard shouting, “black lives matter!” as he finishes spray painting. “You need to go, they’re calling the cops on you,” a woman can be heard saying.

The man is then seen running off into the street, revealing an apparent signature, “—Van.”

The graffiti, the Washington Post reported, has since been covered with plywood. Police told the paper that they are investigating, but no suspect has been identified.

The misogynist alt-right meme and alleged millionaire’s Trump Organization won a major, 60-year lease from the federal government in 2013 to convert a U.S. Post Office on Pennsylvania Avenue—right in the White House’s neck of the woods—into another gaudy hotel, the Trump International. The 263-room house of horrors was besieged by controversy in the lead-up to its opening last month. Among other things, several chefs who had planned to open restaurants in the presidential candidate’s newest mausoleum pulled out after Trump’s racist comments about Mexicans.

During the first presidential debate at Hofstra University last week, Trump boasted about the hotel’s soft opening in September, saying, “But we’re opening the Old Post Office. Under budget, ahead of schedule, saved tremendous money. I’m a year ahead of schedule. And that’s what this country should be doing.” As with anything involving this man, The Washington Post is very hmmmm about that.
