A little over 25 years ago, video game company Nintendo released the Game Boy, one of the most successful hand-held video game devices in the world. Since its inception, it has sold more than 118 million units worldwide, and has gone through multiple iterations and redesigns over the years.

But how much do you really know about Game Boy? Did you know that it owes its existence to a fateful train ride, or that its creator, Gunpei Yokoi, started off working in a Nintendo assembly line?
