Ammon Bundy and his fellow armed ranchers have been holed-up in the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge for the better part of a week now. Their mission? Specifically, sort of: To bring “justice” for Steven and Dwight Hammond, two men serving jail time for committing arson to hide illegal hunting on federal land.

The group also claims that it’s committed to fighting the supposedly tyrannical overreach of governmental agencies like the Bureau of Land Management. At the end of the day though, when the news cameras have all gone away and the harsh winter sun has set, Ammon Bundy and his buddies are just a group of men.

Men who love their guns, their country, and (according to fanfiction written by The Decemberists’ frontman Colin Meloy) one another.

This week, Meloy created the #BundyEroticFanFic hashtag to poke a bit of fun at and speculate what Bundy and co. might be getting up to at the ol’ Wildlife Refuge. It does get mighty cold up there, after all.

While #BundyEroticFanFic tweets are plenty steamy on their own, they work much, much better when you pair them with pictures of the actual militiamen. There’s just something about all that denim…
