On Sunday, social media was rocked by the revelation that, according to a new, unauthorized biography, British Prime Minister David Cameron once engaged in icky acts with a dead pig during an “initiation” event while enrolled at Oxford.

The puns began immediately.

The jokes have been pouring in since.

Needless to say, it quickly led to the Prime Minister being rechristened “David Hameron” and the Prime Rib Minister. It wasn’t long before takes on the memes of the day started getting posted.

Then multiple hashtags started up like #piggate, #snoutgate, or, our favorite, #baeofpigs. We’ve rounded up a few of the finest #baeofpigs tweets that have appeared so far because that hashtag is very good.
