Chance the Rapper and Frank Ocean attend state dinner with parents, are adorable

As if Chance the Rapper and Frank Ocean didn’t have enough going for them by being artistic geniuses, putting out excellent albums this year, and being all-around adorable, they upped their cute factor by approximately a million last night.

Both were invited to the White House state dinner, the last one of Obama’s presidency. And instead of arriving with a sure to cause gossip date, each brought their parent with them.

Chance brought his father, Ken Bennett, who had a long career in Chicago politics during which he worked with a very young Barack Obama.

And Frank Ocean brought his mother Katonya Breaux.

It seems like Katonya truly had a great time:

I feel blessed too! This is a beautiful thing, inviting your parent to go to the White House with you where you are being honored for your art! Even if Frank Ocean did wear checkered Vans, it seems like a good night was had by all.
