College freshman arrested with $2,600 in alleged marijuana profits
A freshman at the University of Alabama was arrested last week and charged with first-degree marijuana possession as well as two counts of selling drugs near a school campus, according to AL.com.
The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force arrested Rett James Adinolfi after he allegedly sold weed to a confidential informant in his dorm room. Adinolfi is originally from Connecticut, according to the report.
This isn’t the first time the narcotics task force has targeted Alabama students. In 2013, a major investigation led to the arrest of 61 students, with law enforcement actions taking place on campus.
Last year, a freshman athlete on the track and field team was arrested by task force members and allegedly found with cocaine, marijuana and $3,000 worth of cash after agents searched his room in the Presidential Village dorms — the same dorm where Adinolfi resided.
