Federal agents just raided the home of Jared from Subway

Federal agents raided the Indiana home of Subway sandwiches spokesman Jared Fogle early Tuesday in what TV station Fox59 is reporting is a child pornography case.

His attorney has issued the following statement:

Earlier this year, the former director of Fogle’s charitable foundation was arrested in a child pornography case. It was unclear if the raid was related to that investigation, Fox59 said. Russell Taylor was charged after a woman he was “sexting” with told police he had asked her if she wanted to see pictures of young girls, the Indianapolis Star reported.

“I was shocked to learn of the disturbing allegations against Mr. Taylor,” Fogle said of Taylor’s arrest . “Effective immediately, the Jared Foundation is severing all ties with Mr. Taylor.”

Taylor was charged in May with seven counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography

Fogle, who began his career with Subway 17 years ago, had a net worth of $15 million as of 2013, according to the New York Daily News.

He is married with two children.

In a statement Subway said, “We are shocked about the news and believe it is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and will be monitoring the situation closely,” the company said in its statement
