This bear was stuck in a tree until he got shot with a tranquilizer gun
Because of Boulder, Colorado’s proximity to a bear-friendly habitat in the foothills to the west, bears often find themselves prowling through town in the summertime. Sometimes, they get stuck in trees, like this lil’ guy, whose mom pushed him out on his own and accidentally got stuck in a tree on the University of Colorado, Boulder campus.
According to NBC Colorado, a bear climbed into the tree on campus Friday morning. It stayed there for about four hours, the Boulder Daily Camera reports, before falling to the ground after Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers shot it with a tranquilizer gun and then caught it with some gym mats from the university.
