This Trump ad is ridiculous

A new ad for Donald Trump takes aim at Hillary Clinton for calling the controversial name of the Washington Redskins “insensitive” because apparently it’s a bad thing to not support using a racial slur as the name of a football team. In the ad, super PAC Rebuilding America Now characterizes big, bad Clinton as a politically correct buzzkill coming into your mancave to ruin all the fun.


The comments from Clinton come from an interview with Fusion’s Jorge Ramos.

“Almost 50 Democratic Senators sent a letter to the NFL saying that ‘Redskins’ is a racial slur. Do you agree?” Ramos asked the Democratic nominee two years ago.

“I think it’s insensitive, and I think that there’s no reason for it to continue as the name of a team in our nation’s capital,” Clinton responded.

No surprise, Trump thinks calls to change the name are political correctness run amok.

A Washington Post poll from earlier this year found that nine out of 10 Native Americans aren’t offended by the name, though as Fusion reported at the time, many Native Americans voiced concerns about how the poll was conducted.
