We got our hands on the new Starbucks S'mores Frappuccino and the highly-coveted cookie straw

Today Starbucks started offering a S’mores Frappuccino (complete with a dank cookie straw if you buy one during “happy hour”), and the confection will be available for the next few weeks. The green mermaid’s site describes the new treat as “…where gooey milk chocolate and marshmallowy whip are finished off with a crunchy honey-graham cracker crumble. It tastes even better than it sounds. ”

If that’s not a good enough reason to leave your desk and to fetch the sugar-laden goodie, what is?

When we found the closest Starbucks, the line was out the door. Was it because it’s finally over 60° in New York City? Was it because like us, no one can resist the call of extra novelty calories on an otherwise unremarkable Tuesday? We don’t know for sure. What we do know is that this sip is NEXT LEVEL.

Pro tip: If you’re lucky enough to snag a cookie straw (the barista let us know that the straws were going fast), be sure to bite the ends so that it can, in fact, be used for liquid suction. Otherwise you’re left with an increasingly soggy cookie in your mouth and no frap.

The drink, while delicious, isn’t perfect. For starters, you’re not really getting coffee so much as you’re just getting a chocolate sundae with a hint of caffeine, and the subsequent sugar crash isn’t a good look when you’ve got a few more hours left in the office. Additionally, the tall (Starbucks speaks for “small”) has 43 grams of sugar (ALMOST 11 TEASPOONS) and 47 grams of carbs. Calories? 500. Yikes.

Still, we scrummed hard and give it a high rating at 4 out of 5 chocolate bars:
