Donald Trump tweets, then deletes, Star of David on 'Crooked Hillary' image
UPDATE July 3rd: Mic reported on Sunday that the image was posted on a forum for white supremacists on 8chan on June 22nd. According to the The Daily Beast, the image first appeared on Twitter on June 15th, posted by the now-deleted account @FishBoneHead1. Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski discredited the reports that it was modeled after the Star of David, saying the star represented a sheriff’s badge. The reaction to the image, Lewandowski said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” is “political correctness run amok.”
Donald Trump tweeted, and then deleted, an image on Saturday morning that had a Jewish symbol over a pile of money and a picture of Hillary Clinton. He retweeted it a few hours later without the Star of David.
