No Actual Strong Man Is Intimidated by Jimmy Freaking Kimmel

Pulling Jimmy Kimmel off the air over comments he did not make about Charlie Kirk, as many wrong stenographic regime headlines read today, but about the conservative reaction to Charlie Kirk’s tragic assassination, is fascism–but it’s also weak baby shit. This pretty clearly was an edict from dear leader who saw an opening, as there wasn’t really any furor over Kimmel’s incredibly anodyne comments after he made them.

1. Just so we’re clear, this is the clip that got Jimmy Kimmel’s show shelved by ABC.

If I’m missing any other clips please let me know.

This is what Kimmel posted the day Kirk died. Trump’s mad about what Kimmel said about him on the show, not Kirk.

The conservative outrage cycle is very good at identifying targets, and it did not come after Kimmel right off the bat, someone pointed it at him. I’m going to guess it’s the guy who boasted that “Jimmy Kimmel is next” after forcing Stephen Colbert off the air. Make no mistake, this is Nazi stuff. They literally did exactly this.

But it’s also weak. A lot of “conservatives” these days find the Nazi comparison flattering, but the difference between that movement and this one is that it was driven by a bunch of grizzled World War I veterans living in pretty brutal economic conditions. MAGA is mainly driven by whiny well-off men with $8,000 monthly F-350 payments whose entire wardrobe consists of overpriced and cheap items sold with the word “tactical” in front of it. The Nazis were consolidating support through moves like this, while Trump’s polls are collapsing and this reads as petty desperation from America’s most TV-poisoned man to get a small win on the board before the economy implodes.

And this title applies to Kimmel’s bosses and producers at ABC, Disney, Sinclair and Nexstar too. They are weak Trump-like babies allowing themselves to be steamrolled by mankind’s preeminent drama queen. Literally selling their souls to Trump so he’ll approve their impending merger. How pathetic. These people cannot call themselves part of civil society anymore. America’s elite have proven themselves to be feckless lemmings who sold their spines for cash long ago. Our cloistered political and financial elites are not like the rest of us being forced to deal with their bullshit. They are functionally a different species at this point.

This is a country overflowing with fake tough guys and weak men and women, and unfortunately many of them hold very powerful positions. It says a lot about the supposed greatness of America’s government and economy that we can be ruled by such feckless boobs who would spontaneously combust if they had to live a day in the life of an average American. The mighty American empire is being felled by Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert’s lukewarm jokes, making our strong men sad and ordering their lackeys in the media to kick them off the only thing that’s real to them, television. I am gobsmacked by how pathetic and embarrassing this all is.

This is collapse. The America you grew up with is gone forever, and fascists are trying to remake it in their image. They have a head start on civil society, but this head start also has led to their dear leader polling in the 30s. This is a wildly unpopular movement, and anyone acting like it’s still November 2024 is just doing regime propaganda, which unfortunately describes the vast bulk of the mainstream press. This is the end of mainstream media as we know it too, and their stenographic instinct to supplicate themselves to some greater power has not provided us with much evidence that the self-appointed Fourth Estate will push back against Trump’s attempt to consolidate all estates under one crown. Our fundamentally cowardly elite clearly are more than happy to burn the entire constitution to ash and appoint Trump as their new King.

But just because hollow institutions run by some of the weakest people mankind has ever produced are crumbling doesn’t mean that Trump’s victory is inevitable. Sinclair is replacing Kimmel with a tribute to Charlie Kirk, and they are trying to turn all the airwaves they control into Fox News lite, poisoning the well for normies. However, the question of whether normies will stick around these regime propaganda networks like ABC and CBS after their favorite hosts are replaced with Trump toadies is a fair one to ask. This is a massive opportunity for any media owner who wants to seriously invest in a new paradigm, because the main thing that defangs propaganda is how rote and boring it is. Whether you find Kimmel or Colbert funny is secondary to the fact that they are orders of magnitude cleverer, more thoughtful and flat-out normal than Greg Gutfeld. The biggest problem conservative media has is that every time the mainstream sees and hears what they say, it recoils, which is why all the braindead Charlie Kirk tributes from mainstream media don’t quote him.

This is an age of collapse, and the Trump regime is not exempt from this dynamic. Their polling is collapsing. Their policies are collapsing farm and rural economies as we speak, while every time Jerome Powell and the Fed have met this year, they have concluded we are one step closer to stagflation than we were before. Conventional wisdom on Wall Street is now shifting towards a recession awaiting our heavily concentrated and AI capex-driven economy just around the corner, and the history of all regimes of all ideologies is that support plummets along with the economy. If we are in a recession a year from now as Greg Gutfeld is sweatily trying to fill Kimmel’s shoes, interviewing James Woods for the 37th time, all while Trump’s gestapo are still disappearing people off the streets, you may be able to plot his approval rating along with Melania’s rugpulled shitcoin currently racing to zero. We are living in the first act of the weak men create hard times meme, and nothing is inevitable, or forever. This is fascism, but we are very lucky that this is the weakest and most incompetent kind of fascism the world has ever seen.
