Michael Avenatti Has Been Arrested for Domestic Violence
Michael Avenatti, the lawyer best known for representing Stormy Daniels in her case against President Trump, was arrested today by the LAPD on felony charges of domestic violence, according to TMZ. Police confirmed the arrest to other outlets.
From TMZ:
Our law enforcement sources say Avenatti was arrested Wednesday after a woman filed a felony DV report. We’re told her face was “swollen and bruised” with “red marks” on both cheeks.
Our sources say the alleged incident occurred Tuesday night, but there was another confrontation Wednesday between the two at an exclusive apartment building in the Century City area of L.A.
The details of TMZ’s report have yet to be confirmed by the police.
Avenatti has all but announced that he will run against Trump in 2020, and launched his own PAC to fund his potential campaign.
Avenatti was back in the spotlight recently after he took on a client who alleged they had been sexually abused by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. His client later partially recanted her testimony.
