Omarosa Manigault Joins the Cast of Celebrity Big Brother

Omarosa Manigault, infamous villain of The Apprentice and former White House employee, will appear in the newest season of Celebrity Big Brother, according to a painful ad for the series that aired Sunday before the Grammys. The first episode is slated to run on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

Other illuminaries in the cast include:

  • Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie)
  • Keshia Knight Pulliam (The Cosby Show)
  • Chuck Liddell (UFC light heavyweight champion)
  • Metta World Peace (Basketball coach and former player)
  • Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray)

This season, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will air for 13 nights and run through Feb. 25.

Speaking to THR in September about casting celebrities for the spinoff, Big Brother host Julie Chen said that the staff is “being realistic. It’s not going to be all Oscar winners.” After leaving her position as the communications director for the Office of Public Liaison in December, Manigault told the hosts of Good Morning America that she was preparing to share her life story: “When I can tell my story it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear.”

No word yet from what Omarosa’s twice-former boss, Donald Trump, thinks about the news, though CNN’s Brian Stelter anticipates that the news will give the West Wing “heartburn.”
