Watch Bill Murray call an entire Chicago Cubs game in the 1980s for some reason
The Chicago Cubs are hosting their first playoff game at Wrigley Field in seven years today. In honor of that, let’s watch Bill Murray sub in for legendary Cubs play-by-play man Harry Caray during a game in 1987.
If you like baseball, or Bill Murray, or both, this video is for you. Murray’s charm and humor is effortless—there are uncountable good lines and riffs, including multiple offenses against French-Canadians. (The game was against the Montreal Expos). It’s another instance of the goofiness that’s turned Murray from popular comedian to enigma-slash-icon.

The Cubs won the game 7-0, but as so often happens, it was Murray who stole the spotlight.
