A running list of Trump-related protests at the RNC

By the end of this week’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Donald Trump—the presumptive Republican Party nominee for President—is poised to remove the “presumptive” from that statement once and for all.

Hundreds have swarmed the Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland to protest and champion the candidate. Here’s a constantly updating list of the Trump-related protests taking place in the next four days.

WALL OFF TRUMP
July 18, 11 a.m., downtown Cleveland
Do they support Trump? No, they do not.

Building a wall of cloth: “Together we’ll be creating thousands of feet of beautiful wall: enough to encircle Trump’s National Convention. Parts of our wall will be made of 4’x4′ panels held by courageous activists working together to create a real physical wall against Trump.”

AMERICA FIRST UNITY RALLY
July 18, 11:30 a.m., Settler’s Landing Park / East Bank Flats
Do they support Trump?: Yes, they do.

Trump’s supporters are holding a “victory rally & parade celebration of Mr. Trump’s nomination.”

MARCH ON THE RNC: DUMP TRUMP; SAY NO TO THE REPUBLICAN AGENDA; STAND AGAINST RACIST ANTI-IMMIGRANT AND ANTI-MUSLIM ATTACKS
July 18, 12 p.m., Mall A Sixth St.
Do they support Trump?: They do not.

While their issues are numerous, the group primarily takes issue with what critics call the racist nature of Trump’s rhetoric, but in the description of the event on Facebook, the group also seeks to criticize the Party’s “bigotry, racist discrimination, Islamophobia, war, and austerity.”

END POVERTY NOW! MARCH FOR ECONOMIC JUSTICE
July 18, 3 p.m., East 45th Street
Do they support Trump?: No, they don’t.

A group of 13 organizations is hosting a protest to call on the end of poverty in the U.S. “Cleveland will be holding a celebration for a political party that has distinguished itself over the past generation by rolling back the gains of the Civil Rights and anti-poverty movements of the past, and has done everything in its power to defund and disempower residents of Cleveland and residents across the United States.”

UNITED TO STOP THE HATE AT THE RNC
July 19, 11:45 a.m., 4241 Lorain Ave.
Do they support Trump?: Nope!

The protest, which is hosted by the Greater Cleveland Immigrant Support Network, spotlights the “hateful rhetoric and scapegoating of immigrants, Muslims, and People of Color” that they see present in Trump’s campaign. They see the candidate as “hate-mongering,” and seek to highlight the benefits of a country helped along with the contributions of immigrants.

PROTESTING MURDER BY POLICE IS RIGHTEOUS AND VERY NECESSARY!
July 19, 4 p.m., Public Square
Do they support Trump?: Probably not.

This is more obliquely a protest against Donald Trump—who the organizers call “the standard bearer for a growing fascist movement”—but more specifically against police brutality. They’re gathering in the shadow of the RNC, they say, to intensify the protests against police murdering people of color.

STAND TOGETHER AGAINST TRUMP
July 21, 1:30 p.m., Downtown Cleveland
Do they support Trump?: See above.

Judging by their Facebook page, this group seeks to take a general stand against Donald Trump. They write that their goal is to “stand up for the dignity and equality of each race, religion, and gender in our society.”

WESTBORO CHURCH PROTESTS THE RNC
July 19, 5:00 p.m., Public Square
Do they support Trump?: Uhh…no?

It’s a little unclear what the nation’s most infamous troll artists are angry about this time. On their charmingly named website www.godhatesfags.com, they write, “Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio will do anything and say anything to get you to vote for them for President of these doomed United States of America, including selling their very souls. But, what will it profit these fools if they gain the whole world and lose their souls.” They appear to be angry at Donald Trump and the Republican Party for allowing America’s moral standards to slip to allow gay people to marry and unmarried people to have sex.

IRAQ VETERANS AGAINST THE WAR
July 18, 2:00 p.m., East 45th St, North of Superior Ave
Do they support Trump?: No, they do not.

#VetsVsHate are calling for “Donald Trump to cease using veterans as political props.” The veterans will hold multiple protests and events throughout the convention. (See more here.)

COMMUNITY TO STOP THE HATE
July 19, 4:15 p.m., Cleveland Public Square
Do they support Trump?: Nope.

“The Greater Cleveland Immigrant Support Network (GCISN) will challenge the hate mongering of Republican front runner, Donald Trump, his party and his supporters.”

ILLEGALS FOR TRUMP
July 21, 2:45 p.m., Public Square
Do they support Trump?: Yes!

OK, so this one doesn’t seem to have a huge following (the Facebook group “Illegals For Trump” boasts 16 members), but Utah-based attorney Jose Loayza managed to secure a speaking spot in Cleveland’s Public Square on Thursday. Details are scarce, but one post in Loayza’s Facebook group gives some indication as to the source of his support: “We realize that our entering the country illegally is unacceptable and must carry consequences,” he writes.
