Arizona GOP Showcases Its Support From Asian Americans With Picture of '90s Sitcom
If a photograph of an Asian American family featured on the Arizona GOP’s website seems familiar, it’s probably because they’re all fictional characters on a 1994 sitcom starring Margaret Cho.
The All American Girl cast photo was intended to show that Arizona’s GOP enjoys support from a diverse group of Americans. Vice News was first to report the photo, which was has since been removed from the website. But Screenshots last forever!
Before it was deleted, the page proudly announced that Arizona Republicans would not “demand special rights for certain races, push policies that favor members of one group over another, or single out certain ethnic or social groups with the promise of special favors or political privileges.” Pictures below the post showed families from all races, which seems like an odd way for the Arizona GOP to demonstrate its dedication to unbiased policies.

Cho is not exactly the Republican party’s biggest fan either. In an interview with CNN the comedian, who considers herself a “political person,” described the GOP as a “nightmare.”
