While responding to a question about bias against Muslim and Arab people in America at Sunday night’s debate, Donald Trump said that Muslim immigrants have to “report when they see something going on” to authorities. Muslims online, inspired by a tweet by Brooklyn College professor and author Moustafa Bayoumi, reacted perfectly to the inappropriateness of his response with the hashtag #MuslimsReportStuff.

As the Washington Post‘s Mark Berman pointed out, FBI director James Comey has said Muslims already do come forward to law authorities with information.
