Dogecoin was an imaginary form of money based on an internet joke about a dog that spoke broken English. Naturally it is worth $2 billion now.

Ars Technica reports that this particular cryptocurrency—which started in 2013 as a joke about a joke, and which the founders stopped updating years ago, and which had a total value of $20 million at the beginning of 2017—hit a total value of $2 billion over the weekend.

A 10,000% increase in one year in the value of talking dog imaginary joke money. Well everything seems to be in order here.
