Trump Says He’s ‘Like, Really Smart’

One of the most emotionally insecure men in the country, who happens to be the president of the United States, wants everyone to know that he’s way smarter than everyone else. Perhaps he’s the smartest human being ever born. And we should believe him because he tweeted about it.

President Donald Trump clearly has been triggered over the past few days in light of the publication of a bombshell book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, by Michael Wolff, which among other things has renewed questions about the president’s mental stability. Worse for the president, who doesn’t read books anyway, all of the mainstream media is reporting the story and Trump’s reactions to it, which only make him look worse—if that’s possible.

To counter these reports, which depict a White House that began in chaos and has descended even further into turmoil, Trump has taken to his favorite format, Twitter, to remind his faithful base just how smart and mentally capable he still is, because, hey, he was once a TV star!

Let that sink in for a moment—the president of the most powerful country in the world is using Twitter to defend his mental stability to serve. On Saturday morning, he tweeted the following (emphasis mine):

“Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star … to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!”

Trump wants us to know that he’s not only a genius—he’s a very stable genius. Like, very, very stable. Believe me.
