Diplo chooses 'Game of Thrones' over Coachella and more from the week on Twitter
This was a rare week in which SO MUCH happened on the internet that we lost track — some delightful and funny, some truly terrible and depressing. Here’s what you missed on Twitter this week:

Rand Paul running for President
We’re a little more than 18 months away from the next presidential election, and as such, campaign announcements are trickling in from a myriad of political hopefuls. This week’s first announcement came from Kentucky senator, Rand Paul (not to be confused with RuPaul…):

Walter Scott murder caught on tape
To end on a serious note, America is mourning yet another murder of a Black man at the hands of police, this time in South Carolina. The thing that makes this case different is that a brave man recorded the incident and it was released through national media, spawning the hope that indictment might be possible this time around. Still, the video is disturbing and graphic, and it raised the moral question of why such images are released to the public, and what lingering effects viewing them must have on the human mind.
