Lindsey Graham Says It All

Here is how Lindsey Graham—a member of the United States Senate and therefore one of the most privileged, cosseted, and powerful people on the face of the planet—began his statement today during the Senate Judiciary Committee’s meeting about Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court:

“I know I’m a single white male from South Carolina, and I’m told I should shut up, but I will not shut up, if that’s okay.”

Graham said many other horrible things during the course of these proceedings, but really, what more do you need to know? These people—Graham, and Kavanaugh, and everyone like them—have everything. They want us to pretend like they have nothing. And they are holding the rest of us hostage to this grotesque fantasy.
