Pat Sajak Comes Out on Twitter and the Reactions are Awesome

Pat Sajak, host of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ came out as heterosexual on Twitter and we have no idea why. (Yes, you read that correctly: heterosexual.) He must have forgotten that he’s a gameshow host, not a comedian. (Sorry, Pat, but Stephen Colbert has already been tapped for the Late Show.)

He proclaimed his heterosexuality despite the ‘consequences.’ What consequences there are for being straight, we’re not sure. He may have meant it as a joke in reference to something else, but as of right now, we don’t get it.

When asked if his wife knows, he said she was “totally blindsided” and that she’s in “therapy” as a result.

Sajak’s original tweet and subsequent replies seem to be an attempt at humor. But, everyone knows coming out when you’re lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer is not usually a laughing matter. Plus, his conservative political leanings make a comedic reason likely.
