8 tips to travel like a spy, courtesy of CIA via WikiLeaks
WikiLeaks has released an allegedly secret CIA memo from September 2011 detailing how to best travel through international airports while undercover. Titled “Surviving Secondary,” the memo mostly details what steps an agent should take in the event that he or she has been singled out for a more thorough screening.
Much of the document focuses on tips for traveling through Europe and Israel. The document is labeled “NOFORN,” meaning it should not be shared with any foreign entity.
“The document’s overarching predominant advice is to maintain cover, no matter what’,” according to the WikiLeaks release.
